DR. PHIL HIPPENSTEEL, Lead Instructor

A nationally recognized specialist on network infrastructure, Dr. Phil Hippensteel is an instructor and consultant from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania whose telecommunications expertise has brought him to a diverse group of colleges and organizations. In addition he regularly leads presentations at national trade shows and conferences such as N+I, Comnet and Supercomm. Among his consulting clients are major companies such as Fluke, Agilent, Avaya, Tyco Electronics, and Cisco. He also frequently consults with colleges and government agencies throughout the United States and Canada. Dr. Hippensteel has been involved in development of new products and the training in the use of those products. Currently, he teaches communications technology for Network World Magazine and Penn State University.

ROSANNE BENDER, Instructor

Rosanne Bender has a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from Shippensburg University and a Masters of Engineering Science with a concentration in Computer Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University. She worked as a Systems Analyst supporting AMP Incorporated's worldwide engineering network. She completed various consulting assignments, most notably providing computer/database/ communications support for AMP's Field Engineering organization. Rosanne taught data communications seminars and classes at the college level.

SETH FOGIE, Instructor

Seth Fogie is the VP of Dallas-based Airscanner Corporation where he oversees the development of security software for the Windows Mobile (Pocket PC) platform. He has co-authored four technical books on information security, including the top selling Maximum Wireless Security from SAMS, and the recently released Security Warrior from O'Reilly. Mr. Fogie frequently speaks at IT and security conferences, including Defcon, BlackHat, CSI, and Dallascon. In addition, Seth is acting Site Host for Security at Pearson Education's "InformIT.com" website where he writes articles and reviews/manages weekly information security related books and articles.

NATHAN PLATT, Instructor

Nathan Platt, Esquire is an attorney with the law firm of Stock and Leader based out of York, Pennsylvania. Attorney Platt's areas of practice include business and employment law, commercial litigation, business planning and technology law. Attorney Platt holds a B. S. Accounting from SUNY, an MBA from Clarkson University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh - School of Law.

During law school Nate served as Editor-In-Chief of the Journal of Technology Law and Policy, was a distinguished finalist in the Murray S. Love Trial Moot Court Competition, He also worked for IBM's Technology Division and Deloitte & Touch.

Attorney Platt regularly speaks and advises clients on the subjects of Technology Law, Identity Theft and Enterprise Security. He is admitted to practice law before all the Commonwealth Courts of Pennsylvania and the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
